וַיֵּרָא
Three visitors tell Abraham that Sarah will bear a son, then Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed while Lot escapes; Isaac is born and Ishmael is sent away with Hagar. The parsha ends with the binding of Isaac (the Akedah) on a mountain in the land of Moriah.
