Jacob favors Joseph, and his jealous brothers sell him into slavery in Egypt after his dreams provoke their anger; Judah's own story with Tamar interrupts. Joseph rises in Potiphar's house before being falsely imprisoned, where he interprets the dreams of Pharaoh's baker and cupbearer.
