Havdalah הַבְדָּלָה

הִנֵּה אֵל יְשׁוּעָתִי אֶבְטַח וְלֹא אֶפְחָד

hineih el yeshu'ati evtakh velo efkhad

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and I will not fear.

כִּי עָזִּי וְזִמְרָת יָהּ יְיָ וַיְהִי לִי לִישׁוּעָה

ki ozi vezimrat yah adonai vayehi li liyshu'ah

For the Lord God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.

וּשְׁאַבְתֶּם מַיִם בְּשָׂשׂוֹן מִמַּעַיְנֵי הַיְשׁוּעָה

ush'avtem mayim besason mima'yenei hayeshu'ah

You shall draw water in joy from the springs of salvation.

לַיְּהוּדִים הָיְתָה אוֹרָה וְשִׂמְחָה וְשָׂשׂוֹן וִיקָר כֵּן תִּהְיֶה לָּנוּ

layehudim hayetah orah vesimkhah vesason viykar ken tihyeh lanu

For the Jews there was light and joy and gladness and honor; so may it be for us.

כּוֹס יְשׁוּעוֹת אֶשָּׂא וּבְשֵׁם יְיָ אֶקְרָא

kos yeshu'ot esa uvsheim adonai ekra

I will lift the cup of salvations and call on the name of the Lord.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם בּוֹרֵא פְּרִי הַגָּפֶן

barukh atah adonai eloheinu melekh ha'olam borei peri hagafen

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who creates the fruit of the vine.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם בּוֹרֵא מִינֵי בְשָׂמִים

barukh atah adonai eloheinu melekh ha'olam borei minei vesamim

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who creates kinds of spices.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם בּוֹרֵא מְאוֹרֵי הָאֵשׁ

barukh atah adonai eloheinu melekh ha'olam borei me'orei ha'esh

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who creates the lights of the fire.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם הַמַּבְדִּיל בֵּין קֹדֶשׁ לְחֹל בֵּין אוֹר לְחֹשֶׁךְ בֵּין יִשְׂרָאֵל לָעַמִּים בֵּין יוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי לְשֵׁשֶׁת יְמֵי הַמַּעֲשֶׂה

barukh atah adonai eloheinu melekh ha'olam hamavdil bein kodesh lekhol bein or lekhoshekh bein yisra'el la'amim bein yom hashevi'i lesheshet yemei hama'aseh

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who distinguishes between holy and ordinary, between light and darkness, between Israel and the nations, between the seventh day and the six days of work.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ הַמַּבְדִּיל בֵּין קֹדֶשׁ לְחֹל

barukh atah adonai hamavdil bein kodesh lekhol

Blessed are You, Lord, who distinguishes between holy and ordinary.
