אַשְׁרֵי יוֹשְׁבֵי בֵיתֶךָ עוֹד יְהַלְלוּךָ סֶּלָה

ashrei yoshvei veitekha od yehalelukha selah

Happy are those who dwell in Your house; they will praise You yet again, Selah.

אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם שֶׁכָּכָה לּוֹ אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם שֶׁיְיָ אֱלֹהָיו

ashrei ha'am shekakhah lo ashrei ha'am she'adonai elohav

Happy is the people for whom this is so; happy is the people whose God is the Lord.

A psalm of praise, of David.

אֲרוֹמִמְךָ אֱלוֹהַי הַמֶּלֶךְ וַאֲבָרְכָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד

aromimkha elohai hamelekh va'avarekha shimkha le'olam va'ed

I will exalt You, my God the King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever.

בְּכָל יוֹם אֲבָרְכֶךָּ וַאֲהַלְלָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד

bekhol yom avarekhekha va'ahalelah shimkha le'olam va'ed

Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever.

גָּדוֹל יְיָ וּמְהֻלָּל מְאֹד וְלִגְדֻלָּתוֹ אֵין חֵקֶר

gadol adonai umehulal me'od veligdulato ein kheker

Great is the Lord and highly praised, and His greatness cannot be searched out.

דּוֹר לְדוֹר יְשַׁבַּח מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וּגְבוּרֹתֶיךָ יַגִּידוּ

dor ledor yeshabakh ma'asekha ugvurotekha yagidu

Generation to generation will praise Your works, and they will tell of Your mighty acts.

הֲדַר כְּבוֹד הוֹדֶךָ וְדִבְרֵי נִפְלְאֹתֶיךָ אָשִׂיחָה

hadar kevod hodekha vedivrei nifle'otekha asikhah

The glorious splendor of Your majesty, and the words of Your wonders, I will speak.

וֶעֱזוּז נוֹרְאֹתֶיךָ יֹאמֵרוּ וּגְדוּלָּתְךָ אֲסַפְּרֶנָּה

ve'ezuz nora'otekha yomeru ugdulatekha asaperenah

The might of Your awesome acts they will say, and Your greatness I will recount.

זֵכֶר רַב טוּבְךָ יַבִּיעוּ וְצִדְקָתְךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ

zekher rav tuvkha yabi'u vetzidkatkha yeranenu

The memory of Your abundant goodness they will utter, and of Your righteousness they will sing.

חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם יְיָ אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וּגְדָל חָסֶד

khanun verakhum adonai erekh apayim ugdal khesed

Gracious and compassionate is the Lord, slow to anger and great in kindness.

טוֹב יְיָ לַכֹּל וְרַחֲמָיו עַל כָּל מַעֲשָׂיו

tov adonai lakol verakhamav al kol ma'asav

The Lord is good to all, and His compassion is over all His works.

יוֹדוּךָ יְיָ כָּל מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְבָרְכוּכָה

yodukha adonai kol ma'asekha vakhasidekha yevarekhukha

All Your works will thank You, Lord, and Your faithful ones will bless You.

כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתְךָ יֹאמֵרוּ וּגְבוּרָתְךָ יְדַבֵּרוּ

kevod malkhutekha yomeru ugvuratekha yedaberu

They will speak of the glory of Your kingship, and talk of Your might,

לְהוֹדִיעַ לִבְנֵי הָאָדָם גְּבוּרֹתָיו וּכְבוֹד הֲדַר מַלְכוּתוֹ

lehodi'a livnei ha'adam gevurotav ukhevod hadar malkhuto

to make known to human beings His mighty acts, and the glorious splendor of His kingship.

מַלְכוּתְךָ מַלְכוּת כָּל עֹלָמִים וּמֶמְשַׁלְתְּךָ בְּכָל דּוֹר וָדֹר

malkhutekha malkhut kol olamim umemshaltkha bekhol dor vador

Your kingship is a kingship for all ages, and Your dominion is in every generation.

סוֹמֵךְ יְיָ לְכָל הַנֹּפְלִים וְזוֹקֵף לְכָל הַכְּפוּפִים

somekh adonai lekhol hanofelim vezokef lekhol hakefufim

The Lord supports all who fall, and straightens all who are bent.

עֵינֵי כֹל אֵלֶיךָ יְשַׂבֵּרוּ וְאַתָּה נוֹתֵן לָהֶם אֶת אָכְלָם בְּעִתּוֹ

einei khol elekha yesaberu ve'atah noten lahem et okhlam be'ito

The eyes of all look to You with hope, and You give them their food in its time.

פּוֹתֵחַ אֶת יָדֶךָ וּמַשְׂבִּיעַ לְכָל חַי רָצוֹן

pote'akh et yadekha umasbia lekhol khai ratzon

You open Your hand and satisfy every living thing with favor.

Said with special attention; many look at their palms as they say it.

צַדִּיק יְיָ בְּכָל דְּרָכָיו וְחָסִיד בְּכָל מַעֲשָׂיו

tzadik adonai bekhol derakhav vekhasid bekhol ma'asav

The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and faithful in all His works.

קָרוֹב יְיָ לְכָל קֹרְאָיו לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָאֻהוּ בֶאֱמֶת

karov adonai lekhol kor'av lekhol asher yikra'uhu ve'emet

The Lord is near to all who call Him, to all who call Him in truth.

רְצוֹן יְרֵאָיו יַעֲשֶׂה וְאֶת שַׁוְעָתָם יִשְׁמַע וְיוֹשִׁיעֵם

retzon yere'av ya'aseh ve'et shav'atam yishma veyoshi'em

He does the will of those who fear Him, and He hears their cry and saves them.

שׁוֹמֵר יְיָ אֶת כָּל אֹהֲבָיו וְאֵת כָּל הָרְשָׁעִים יַשְׁמִיד

shomer adonai et kol ohavav ve'et kol hareshaim yashmid

The Lord guards all who love Him, and all the wicked He will destroy.

תְּהִלַּת יְיָ יְדַבֶּר פִּי וִיבָרֵךְ כָּל בָּשָׂר שֵׁם קָדְשׁוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד

tehilat adonai yedaber pi vivarekh kol basar shem kodsho le'olam va'ed

The praise of the Lord my mouth will speak, and all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.

וַאֲנַחְנוּ נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ מֵעַתָּה וְעַד עוֹלָם הַלְלוּיָהּ

va'anakhnu nevarekh yah me'atah ve'ad olam halleluyah

And we will bless the Lord from now and forever. Hallelujah.
