Israeli WhatsApp Hebrew runs on abbreviations: סופ"ש for weekend, אחה"צ for afternoon, בב"ל for “never mind” (בלי בלי לב), and a long tail of others that a formal-register translator has never seen. חחח is the Hebrew equivalent of “haha”: the letter ח repeated stands in for a laugh, not a word, and the number of ח's roughly tracks how funny the thing was.
