Frequently Asked Questions
How does the adaptive part work?
The test starts at A2. A correct answer moves the next question up a level; a wrong one moves it down. It stops after 20 questions, or sooner if the pointer stays at the same level for four questions in a row, which happens at A1 or C1 when answers keep hitting the floor or ceiling.
Is there a time limit?
No. Take as long as you want on each question; only the answer counts, not the time.
What if my browser cannot play speech?
Listening items need the browser speech engine. If it is missing, the sentence is shown as text so you can still finish the test; those items then work like short reading questions.
