Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a frequency list from a corpus?

No. The ranking of these 100 verbs is editorial: everyday Israeli Hebrew, not a counted corpus. Treat the order as a study path, not a statistic.

What does each verb page include?

Infinitive, root and binyan; present, past, future and imperative forms with nikud, transliteration and audio; example sentences with audio; same-root words; and a note on a common mix-up.

Why is צריך in a verb list?

Israeli Hebrew uses צריך as a modal adjective meaning need, not a fully conjugated verb. Past and future are built with להיות, and the adjective agrees in gender and number. The page spells that out.
