Shabbat Mevarchim
On the Shabbat before Rosh Chodesh (Shabbat Mevarchim), most congregations announce the coming month, the molad, and which day or days Rosh Chodesh falls on. Tishrei is the exception: Rosh Hashanah is not announced, since it is the start of the year itself.
