Channel 14 and i24NEWS put their broadcasts on YouTube, where any site can play them. Kan 11, N12 and Channel 13 broadcast live on their own sites. A live page that showed only what plays in place would lean right without meaning to, so baba keeps every broadcaster on the list and links to the ones it cannot play. The same goes for the press as a whole: the baba News wire groups every Israeli newsroom’s report of a story and shows which sides ran it and which did not.
Each broadcaster streams its own channel. Kan 11, N12 and Channel 13 stream on their own sites and apps. Channel 14 and i24NEWS stream on YouTube as well as their own sites, and i24NEWS broadcasts in English, Hebrew, French and Arabic. The Knesset Channel streams on knesset.tv. baba News lists every one of them on one screen, plays the YouTube streams in place, and marks which side of the press each channel sits on.
i24NEWS English broadcasts Israeli news live in English, on YouTube and on its own site, and ILTV runs a daily English news programme in its own subscription app. The other channels broadcast in Hebrew. If you want the Hebrew-language press in English as text, the baba News wire translates and groups every Israeli newsroom’s reports as they publish.
Channel 14 streams on its YouTube channel and on c14.co.il. When it is on air, the baba News live page and the app’s Live screen play it in place, labelled as a right-wing channel in baba’s map of the press.
Their live broadcasts are on their own sites and apps, so baba links to those pages. When one of them streams on YouTube, the live list plays it in place. They stay on the list either way, because a live page showing only the channels that allow embedding would lean to one side.
It is the channel’s group in baba’s map of the Israeli press: left, centre or right, with the Haredi and Arab press as groups of their own. It is baba’s editorial judgement, the same one used across the baba News wire.
No. The streams are the channels’ own, and the live list in the baba News app and on news.itsbaba.com is free.
Free on iPhone, iPad and Android, beside the live wire of the whole Israeli press.
